Construction completes on phase two of The Croft with new trade counter lettings

A further 28,000 sq ft of trade counter space brought to the market in Bromborough.

Redsun Projects has announced two lettings on the second phase of development at The Croft, which reached practical completion earlier this year.

Goodyear Tyres UK (trading as HiQ Tyres & Autocare) has taken unit 3a (4,000 sq ft) and Easy Bathrooms has signed up to unit 4b (5,700 sq ft). Both have agreed 10-year leases. These deals leave four units available.

Built by Portal Construction (NW) Ltd, the second phase delivers a total of 28,000 sq ft of high-quality trade counter accommodation across six units at the prominent Bromborough site which sits adjacent to the Croft Retail Park.

Completion of the second phase follows the successful delivery of phase one in 2024, which provided approximately 70,000 sq ft of new commercial space across a series of industrial and warehouse units. The initial phase attracted strong occupier interest and was fully let shortly after completion by occupiers Shurgard Self Storage and Medequip. Gastronomy Properties have also developed a Starbucks and Wendy’s drive-thru under their UK franchise agreement on the site.

Spanning five acres, the site was acquired from Homes England and forms part of Redsun’s wider strategy to regenerate and unlock strategically located commercial land across the North West.

Mark Diaper, Director at Legat Owen, joint agents for the scheme with B8RE, said: “Following the success of phase one, with high-profile companies choosing this prominent location to do business, this second phase at The Croft is another important milestone for the project.

“Both of these pre-lets represent new locations for HiQ Tyres & Autocare and Easy Bathrooms. The market remains strong with minimal stock available on the Wirral. The new Starbucks and Wendys operating adjacent have provided excellent amenities that draw in both businesses and customers to the area.”

The Croft is strategically located close to the A41, providing excellent connectivity across the Wirral and into Liverpool, and continues to attract strong interest from trade and industrial occupiers.

Fletcher Rae Architects was appointed as architect, with Langton Development Services acting as project manager.
